Our group’s purpose is simply to supply a particular school in need, with up to date digital technology for daily use to improve their lives, give them the chances that only wealthier people have at the moment and to slowly bridge the digital divide.
Our Message:
Is to spread awareness of this issue. Too many people in current society are taking many things for granted: water, electricity, food, and digital technology. If we raise awareness of this, there are bound to be people listening to our words, and they are bound to help.
The Digital Divide has been thought to not be as important as other global issue such as poverty and education, but the truth is that it is just as important if not more. The digital divide is linked to every other global issue, to poverty, to education, and even to terrorism. No, bridging the digital divide will not completely end all poverty and terrorism in the world. There will always be those who are less rich than we are and those who have the thirst for terrorizing, but bridging the digital divide will in fact, lessen these greatly, which helps everyone out.
If more people know about this issue, people and organizations of all nations will take action to help bridge this gap separating the rich and the poor, to help improve the way of life of people who aren’t as fortunate as we may be.

Raise awareness to the issue at school
Give a chance to the poor to have access to technology
Equalize the world
Raise at least 1000rmb and donate it to OLPC(One Laptop Per Child) to help bridge the digital divide
Short Term Plan:
Put up posters around the school to raise awareness to the issue. By doing this, we can balance the world to lessen many other existing issues such as terrorism and poverty to make the world a better place to live.
Raise money:
1. Buy an Ipod touch and nano video to use for a raffle to collect money, 100 RMB for one ticket and 250 RMB for three ticket
2. Accept donations from generous people
3. Have a donation contest, awards for the people that donate the most
Long Term Plan:
Digital technology develops extremely fast, that's why the gap in digital divide is growing in such a rapid pace. Setting up a long term goal for this issue can be hard because you'll always have to change when new technology comes out. So what our group is going to do is to repeat our short term goal, which is to raise awareness and raise money from donations, and continue donating money to UNICEF or NCTP.
